Fethullah Gülen added to Peace Curriculum

“Peace Learning Center in Eagle Creek Illinois is teaching thousands of young people on how to be peacemakers. [Amongst the leaders they learn about are] Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Eleanor Roosevelt and Martin Luther King and now the Peace Center has added Fethullah Gülen.”
The Executive Director of the Peace Learning Center, Mr. Tim Nation says, “Fethullah Gülen’s work promoting interfaith dialog and community service make him an excellent peace maker.”

In the program at Eagle Creek, Illinois students learn about leaders who have used non-violence to change the world. Nation says, “Human beings are 90% similar and only 10% different and our politicians spend too much time focusing on the 10% of differences and not the 90% of similarties.” Mr. Nation sees that Fethullah Gülen is ”a leader to Muslim world and saying its time for us to show the rest of the world the nice part of the Muslim faith.”

Nation added, ”I would like to thank Gülen to inspire so many other to reach out to people of other faiths and other backgrounds because if we do not go outside of our community and our religion thats where our problems come. It is so much easier to have an enemy that you don’t know than to have an enemy you do know.” Fethullah Gülen’s philosophy has understood that this understanding is imperative in order to build a better world.
